How To Lose Weight With Little Sacrifice and Without Going to the Gym – Week #32
Time for another update on my quest for losing weight. For the ones of you that didn’t read my previous posts on this I’ll summarize my weight goal, my strategy and I’ll do a little result analysis to show how things were not always down-hill
When I started my new diet plan (around 8 months ago) my weight was 205 pounds (~93 kg). My goal is to reach 175 pounds.
Today, after 32 weeks, my current weight is: 190 pounds (~86 kg) which is 15 pounds less, a good round number.
You may say that 15 pounds in 8 months may not be a formidable number. Well, the idea is to lose weight gradually and consistently with “little sacrifice” remember
Here is my progress in a nice graph.
As you can see it has been a rollercoaster ride, not a huge one but still with significant ups and downs. It’s funny that analyzing this data now you can see where things went well and not so well. Although I did collect my weight data on a spreadsheet automatically and unconsciously now I see that having collected this data was a great decision to make.
For instance, in November 2011 I had a high-peak in weight gain. This was due to my mom being hospitalized (she has a mental illness). I had a very rough time then. The result of this was a very high disruption of my diet, workout plan and a huge stress increase as well. The result is not unexpected, I gained 3.5 pounds. Soon after that I got back on track and I started losing weight again with no problem.
In December 2011 it is fairly easy to understand why I had a new weight-gain peak. Yes, it shouldn’t be like that, we should be more careful with the holiday seasons. Christmas and New Year parties are so good, but also so bad for your diet plans, and your belly
So, I’ll keep on my strategy, which is based on my 4 pillar diet, a diet that I conceived myself from my accumulated experience (and frustrations) of not being able to lose weight consistently over many years, no matter how hard I tried. Now, I’m finally being able to manage to achieve that. All I needed was a plan, a goal, a strong commitment and this site to log my progress.
If I’m managing to lose weight consistently with little sacrifice then you can do it too. If you do start following my diet plan I would be very interested to know your progress. Don’t forget, eat more vegetables, eat less carbohydrates (specially at night), exercise regularly and reduce stress significantly. Here it is, my diet plan in a nutshell
